OUR HISTORY
In 1934, nearly 30 local theatre groups came together as Community Players, creating a single stage for Sheboygan’s creative spirit. Over the past 90 years, Sheboygan Theatre Company has grown with the community, producing vibrant theatre that reflects the diversity, talent, and stories of our region.
As an independent, volunteer-driven nonprofit, STC presents four mainstage shows each season at the Leslie W. Johnson Theatre. Supported by a dedicated 15-member Advisory Committee and fueled by the passion of volunteers and artists, we strive to create meaningful experiences that inspire creativity and connect people from all walks of life.
Our productions and educational programs are designed not only to entertain but to foster inclusivity, ignite imagination, and build genuine connections among community members. At STC, theatre is a place where artistry meets heart, and where every voice and story matters.
