Sheboygan Theatre Company is holding auditions for the final show of the season, Crazy for You.
Auditions are Tuesday 3/14 starting at 6:30pm and Wednesday at 3/15 at 6:30pm. Call backs will be on Thursday, 3/16.
Auditions are held at Horace Mann in the Leslie W. Johnson Theatre. Please enter through the "music hallway" from the back parking lot, labeled "Door 17."
What to prepare:
Prepare a cut of a song (around 32 measures) that showcases your vocal skills. Please provide sheet music that lays flat, that is marked clearly for the accompanist on where to start/end, and with pages that turn easily. An accompanist will be provided.
Simply choose something you feel suits you best. You will still be considered if all you have is "Happy Birthday."
Please come dressed in clothes and shoes you can move and dance in. No dance experience is necessary.
We may also ask you to read sides (short excerpts) from the show.

A zany rich-boy-meets-hometown-girl romantic comedy, Crazy For You® tells the story of young New York banker Bobby Child, who is sent to Deadrock, Nevada, to foreclose on a rundown theatre. In Deadrock, Bobby falls for spunky Polly Baker, the theatre owner’s daughter. But Polly takes an instant dislike to the city slicker, so Bobby vows – through cunning, razzmatazz, and a hilarious case of mistaken identity – to win Polly’s heart and save the theatre. Memorable Gershwin tunes from the score include “I Got Rhythm,” “Naughty Baby,” “They Can't Take That Away from Me,” “Embraceable You,” “But Not for Me,” “Nice Work If You Can Get It” and “Someone to Watch Over Me.”
